Library Departments Reference Credit Courses

LIR 1011:  Introduction to Using Electronic Information Sources
This one credit, half-semester course teaches students strategies for effective information research, including: 

• formulating searches
• comparing and contrasting electronic and traditional sources
• evaluating various tools for quality
• selecting and using appropriate resources. 

There is no prerequisite for the course and it is offered in both the fall and spring.
